Foggy Bottom

No, these pictures were obviously not taken in Foggy Bottom.  I just like saying Foggy Bottom.  Foggy Bottom, Foggy Bottom, FOGGY BOTTOM!  Okay I'm done.
The fog in these pictures is a frequent visitor in the Napa Valley.  Fog will settle in over the valley, leaving the mountains on either side in the sunshine.  It looks like an ocean or lake.  Or maybe like someone dropped dry ice into the valley.

Awesome photos! They make me homesick.

Oh, gosh! I didn't recognize the Napa Valley. My sister-in-law lives up beyond Burgess Cellars, up by the national forest. She has 10 acres of merlot. Beautiful photos, by the way! We usually get up there about once a year.

Where did you apply for college? Our son went to UC Davis and daughter went to UCLA. I just found your blog this morning and I'm rereading your post about camera settings. I have a TAMRON 18-200 Macro lens and, for the life of me, I CANNOT take manual photos with it, so I need to practice!
