Unborn Wine - Veraison Nearly Complete

Veraison is the process that the grapes go through as they change color.  You can learn a little more about it here
I have been asked if all of the grapes for my "Unborn Wine" series are from the same place.  Yes.  the grapes throughout the series are all from the same row of a vineyard in St. Helena, California.  I am not sure which variety they are.  I suppose I could look up the leaf shape but I don't have that kind of time.
Harvest for the champagne grapes will be coming soon and then the other grapes are right behind them.  I can tell you that the grapes are now sweet and the Brix are rising to their optimal spot because I taste one during each shoot.  Only one.  They went from very sour to wonderfully delicious over the summer.  I will continue to keep up the photography right to the end.

Ocean Of Fog

This is what I saw this morning on my way to work.
I live in the best place ever.

How To Anger Your Relatives In Texas

Live somewhere where this is the temperature in the middle of an August day.
Then take a picture of it, put it on the internet, and wait for the hate mail.

58 Years Ago Today

...The Mad Hatter was born.  And his upper lip was never seen again.

Happy Birthday Daddy-O.
I love you.

Oh My Eyes! My Eyes!

For the love of all that is holy, if you have a farmer's tan that makes you look like Barack Obama wearing a t-shirt made out of Joe Biden, please cover it up!

Unborn Wine - A Few Of My Babies

Last year's wine was called Ce N'est Pas Un Vin Francais, which translates to "This is not a French wine".  The label is a picture of me in front of the Eiffel tower last year.  It was bottled in 2008, but it contains 2007 grapes.

This year's bottle might look familiar to my readers.  It is called Down The Rabbit Hole: Bloggers Blend.  The picture is my current blog header.  It was bottled in 2009 but contains 2008 grapes.

P.S. Georgia is in da house.  Please welcome Georgia (specifically Atlanta) to the Adventures in Wonderland family.

ChChCh Changes

Okay, if you are reading this than you can see that my blog template has changed.  It's okay.  I promise.  Everything will be fine.  Take deep breaths.  It's only a few changes and I know you can handle it.  Hell, if I can make a change, anyone can.  I think this new template will showcase my photos better and have a cleaner look overall.
So? Whaddaya think?  Is is purdy?
