I Just...I Mean...Wow
As a soon to be Bostonian, I am officially offended. You know, between fits of hysterical laughter. I love the part where the British were taking our guns and Paul Revere came at them with "papers". I'm not sure if she made it all up or is mashing together the right to bear arms and the story of Martin Luther and his Ninety-Five Theses. (I'm TOTALLY betting it was the Theses mixup. Sarah is just so likely to know about that). The "shots and bells" part is another classic. And not to be outdone by their feckless leader, Palin supporters then went on Wikipedia to change the page on Paul Revere to more accurately reflect Sarah's account. Oh Sarah, how I have missed you since the 2008 election. Welcome back Beauty Queen, Welcome Back.

What I Have Been Doing With My Down Time
This live puppy cam is so damn cute that I find myself staring at them while making squeaky little "Ooh how adorable!" sounds. Press play and the video will begin a live stream of what the puppies are doing right now.

Aaron Sorkin Should Have An Office In The White House
I don't know why I felt the need to share this video clip today. Maybe it's because it seems like not a day goes by without The Christian Right (the extremists, not everyone, don't send me hate mail) using The Bible to take someone's rights away, or hurt good people. I think this clip from The West Wing shows that knowledge is power and sometimes you have to fight haters with their own words. I'm also frustrated because I feel like no one is standing up to them. Oh, and I will heretofore refer to these haters as The Ignorant Tight-Ass Club.

Hysterics
Remember Hayden? I photographed him as a newborn and through the next couple of months. Well here is a video his mom just sent me. In the video his mom is throwing a tennis ball for the dog while Hayden's uncle films. It cracks me up every time.

Crazy
In our house this is called "beds are fuckers" because he puts a toy under the bed and then pretends that the bed has stolen the toy. The bed is then taught a serious lesson. Behold:

The Dancing Queen
I've been wanting to share this video for a while but I have just recently learned how to use iMovie to add music and cut and edit video.
This is The Lion dancing at My Cousin's wedding in Texas.
She calls it the "flop" dance.
I call it the "dying butterfly".
This kid cracks me up.

Pebble Beach Trip Part Three - Please Don't Flash The Octopus
Well, we have arrived at Sunday, day three of the trip. This was the day of my inaugural visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I was excited to see me some sea critters! First up were the sea otters. Let me just warn you right now - they are cute. Like, I nearly shattered the glass wall, put one in my bag and drove home, cute. Want to rub my face on their little tummies, cute. CUTE!
Seriously, behold the cuteness:
No, seriously:
I don't think you are fully grasping the cuteness:
Maybe this will help:
When I told one that I was going to put his picture on my blog he got downright excited. Apparently, blogging to an otter is just "float upside down with my ass in the air fantastic".
When I finally pulled myself away from the otters I saw some jellyfish (not as cute)
And a sea dragon
And a sea horse
And one seriously deranged river otter.

Pebble Beach Trip Part One - Some Men Wear Skirts
Okay, I have decided to give y'all the low down on my recent trip to Pebble Beach in a few parts because, well, it's my blog and I want to.
That, and I took 1,009 photos while I was there and I think it would make Blogger cry if I upload them all at once.
We left home on Friday morning and were at the Inn at Spanish Bay by early afternoon.
Let me just say how beautiful this place is. It is beautiful. There.
Our room was overlooking the golf course and the ocean. Here's the view off the patio.
The room was deluxe. The view was deluxe. The food was deluxe.
Everything was deluxe.
The first thing we did was take a trip down to the ocean. The walk down meanders through the greens and dunes.
We saw a few surfers...
before heading back to the room to find a birthday card and champagne from the resort GM. We decided to sit outside, sip champagne and wait for the bagpiper. For those of you who don't know, the Pebble Beach resorts (Lodge at Pebble Beach and Inn at Spanish Bay) employ bagpipers who walk the golf courses every night to play for the guests. It was amazing.
As the sun set I was able to capture the iconic image of the bagpiper.
And get a little video for your listening pleasure.
Well, I suppose that is enough for now. Stay tuned for more stories from the trip!
